Hand crafted glass micro mosaic copy of Claude Monet's "Woman with Umbrella"
One of Monet’s most famous masterpieces is the subject of this astonishing mosaic creation. Fine wands of Venetian glass from Murano are cut into tiny pieces and carefully placed according to the drawing. The term for this technique is called “Vaticano mosaico minuto Romano.” It first evolved in Rome at the end of the 17th century in the Vatican school by an artist called Raffelli. The portrait is ablaze with an incredible abundance of different colours. Our expert craftsman has poured his heart and soul into making this magnificent portrait come to life, indeed, it seems to have a personality all of its own. You can almost feel the breeze gently blowing the grass at her feet. This is truly a unique masterpiece, and one to treasure through the generations.
