Description
Frog earrings in Renaissance style
Be daring and different with this Renaissance inspired pair of 18 carat hand carved earrings which are two delightful frogs. Each frog is varnished with blue enamel and the glittering eyes are real diamonds. There is also a diamond where the post goes through the ear to give that extra sparkle.
Nowadays, the frog is regarded as a good luck charm but it actually symbolises many different things in different cultures. In ancient Egypt it was a symbol of fertility and resurrection; for the Chinese it represented immortality and eternal life; whereas in medieval Europe it was considered a magical animal symbolising sin and worldly pleasures.
