Luxurious hand carved sardonyx cameo signed by Italian artist Salvatore Gallo
This beautiful cameo, patiently and carefully carved by hand, features the artist’s view of the Roman Goddess Diana. She is depicted as a young beautiful woman, with a sophisticated and very detailed headdress made of daisy flowers and precious pearls in a perfect neoclassical style. Diana was the Goddess of hunting and of the moon. In fact she wears a little moon as a crown and has a bow and arrow on her back.
