Hand carved shell cameo featuring a young woman signed by the artist Gentile
This hand carved cornelian cameo is a miniature masterpiece and is signed by the artist “Gentile”. Selected from the finest African sea shells and framed in 18k gold, the woman portrayed has an air of mystery surrounding her. Wrapped in a fine shawl, she holds a beautiful bouquet of flowers gently against her shoulder. Her hair is crowned with a string of pearls and she appears to be gazing at something, or someone!
