The Lollo Handbag, as named by the artist, is stunning and definitely noteworthy. The handbag is made of jet black, rigid calfskin leather and has the artist's leather forming signature design of soft folds painted in sandstone hues as a central feature and leather stitching around the borders. The handbag features double handles with ivory stitching adornment, decorative side drawstrings, and chrome colored hardware. The spacious interior is lined in a rich imperial purple suede leather and has triple compartments: large pocket with zipper, perfect-size smartphone pocket and mini pocket ideal for a small accessory. A hidden leather artist-monogrammed flap closure with spring-clasp completes this fashion masterpiece. Can be carried either as a shoulder bag or on the arm.
The artist's signature design is created using the wet forming process where the leather is soaked and then molded while still wet, thus forming unrepeatable shapes. Once the leather is dry it is painted with oil colors.
The Florentine artisan, Marco Giusti, has exhibited his works in numerous art galleries in Milan and Florence, among which Palazzo Corsini and the Stazione Leopolda are to mention, and still represents excellence in the field of leather sculpture.
