Tacco - Florentine style coin pouch in several color choices
Here's a true relic! This authentic Italian Florentine coin holder is the same design of the coin pouches that were used by Florentines years ago and continue to be used to this day. Made entirely from one piece of leather - each piece is folded and dyed by hand. Shaped like a horse shoe where the name "tacco" (heel) comes from, the folds show natural creases in the leather which adds to the beauty and originality of each case giving it a weathered, rustic appearance.
A part of Florentine history, the origins of this leather accessory can be traced back over 200 years ago with the monks from the Florence area. They are entirely made by hand using a rigid, vegetable-dyed leather sourced from tanneries in Tuscany.
